Outdoor Activities at Whitecap Mountains Resort

As snow turns to slush and the days begin to grow longer, Whitecap Mountains Resort is welcoming spring. While it’s hard to put the ski and snowboard gear away for the season, this time of year always renews our love of the outdoors. Above-freezing temperatures finally make hiking, golf, and disc golf accessible again, for one. For those who don’t appreciate the cold, fishing becomes more enjoyable, and kayaking on the lakes offers a relaxing activity for the whole family. There’s also nothing quite like bearing witness to the mountains turning green and lush, or taking in the fantastic local waterfall tours to get an up-close look at nature’s springtime beauty.

If your family members and friends are outdoor enthusiasts already, we encourage you to plan an adventure to our 400-acre resort in northern Wisconsin. An affordable destination for all things outdoorsy, Whitecap has everything you need for all-season fun. Relax at our public golf course, which features nine holes overlooking Iron County, Lake Superior, and Weber Lake.

If an adrenaline rush is more your style, zip down some ATV trails and push your machine to its limits. Whitecap is also a great fishing destination; nearby Lake Weber plays host to countless species of fish, including largemouth bass and trout.

Our location relative to the Twin Cities metro and Green Bay (about a four-hour drive) means that traveling to Whitecap is not only economical, but also convenient. Simply hop in your car and make a day or weekend trip out of it, or stay longer with our amenity-rich lodging opportunities! At Whitecap Mountains Resort, anyone can find some fun that’s exactly their speed.
